In 1999 the BBC screened a triology of hour-long documentaries on Nietzsche, Heidegger and Sartre. I’d completely forgotten about them until last week, when I was rooting through some old, mislabelled video tapes and happened upon the copies I’d dutifully made before mixing them up with Gordon Lui and 70s vampire flicks.
